Making the page comfortable to read
Size, line height, and column width — the three that matter most.

The three sliders
Font size runs from 18 to 36 pixels, and starts at 24. That default is larger than most apps on purpose — you’re writing, not filling in a form.
Line height controls the air between lines.
Column width is the one people miss. It sets how wide the writing column runs. Narrow it and a page starts reading like a book; leave it wide and it reads like a document. If Dayspring doesn’t quite feel right and you can’t say why, try this first.
First line as title
On by default. The first line of an entry becomes its title — in the app, and in anything you export.
Turn it off if you’d rather your entries just start.
Show markdown syntax
Off by default, which is why you see bold text rather than **bold text**.
Turn it on if you’d rather see the raw characters. See
formatting.
Practice previews
On by default. When you choose a contemplative practice, you get a short introduction before the prompts appear. Turn it off to go straight to writing once you know them.

Both on by default, both explained in focus mode.
