8 palettes, six writing faces, and a separate choice for light and dark.

Light, dark, or auto
Auto follows your device — light in the day, dark at night, if that’s how you have things set. It’s the default.
Two palettes, not one
You pick a light palette and a dark palette separately, and Dayspring uses whichever matches. So you can have warm parchment by day and something quiet by night without changing anything.
There are 8 in total. The light ones run from a sunrise parchment to a cool north-light grey; the dark ones from moonlit to hearth-warm to indigo. One of them is true black, for OLED screens — worth trying if you read in bed.

The writing face
Six fonts for your entries — a serif that’s the default, a literary face, a typewriter face, a monospace, a plain sans, and one designed for maximum legibility if small type is a struggle.
This changes your writing, not the interface.
Settings follow you
Everything here is stored with your account, so setting it up on your Mac sets it up on your phone. There’s no per-device configuration to keep in step.
If you ever want to start over, Settings → About has a reset that puts every setting back to its default. It doesn’t touch your entries.
