Plans and prices
One plan, everything included, monthly or yearly. The price differs slightly on iPhone, and here's why.
There’s one plan. Everything is in it. You choose how often you pay.
On the web and on your Mac
- $64 a year — works out around $5.33 a month.
- $7 a month.
Both start with a 14-day trial, and no card is needed to begin.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
On iPhone and iPad
Prices there are set through the App Store and are slightly different — Apple’s price tiers end in .99, so the figures don’t match the web exactly. The app always shows you the real App Store price for your country and currency, in your own money.
Purchases on iPhone go through Apple, as Apple requires.
Which one you’re on
Settings → Billing tells you plainly: the plan, whether it’s billed through the App Store or on the web, and the date it renews.
A note on paying twice
One subscription covers your account everywhere — write on your Mac, your phone, and the web on the same one.
If you already subscribe through Apple, Dayspring won’t offer to sell you another subscription on the web. It’ll offer to manage the one you have instead. See managing your subscription.
Why it costs anything
Dayspring is a subscription because it does work for you every month — reading your journal back, building the Ascent, keeping the Lamp lit, and storing your writing and your photos safely.
There’s no free tier with your history locked behind it, and there’s no version that sells your writing to anyone. See what the AI does and doesn’t do.
