The Lamp is the whole Bible laid out as a map, with each book lit according to how often your writing has touched it. Books you’ve lived in glow. Books you haven’t stay dark.
How it fills in
Every time you save an entry, Dayspring notices Bible references in it — whether
you used /scripture or just typed “Romans 8:28” in a sentence. Those references
light the map.
Nothing to tag, nothing to file.
What it’s for
After a year, the Lamp is a fairly honest picture of where you’ve actually been. Most people find it shows something they half-knew and had never seen laid out: a season spent almost entirely in the Psalms, or a whole Testament barely touched.
It isn’t a scorecard. A dark book is not a failing, and there’s no coverage percentage anywhere. It’s a map of where you’ve been, and a map is only useful because it shows you where you haven’t gone yet.
Going deeper
Click a book to open it. You’ll see a strip of its chapters, a timeline of when you wrote near it, and the threads of your own writing around particular verses.
Passages you keep returning to show up in a returning strip — the verses that have followed you.
If it looks emptier than your life
You’ve probably just imported an old journal. Imported entries bypass the editor, so their references haven’t been noticed yet.
