The slash menu
Type / on a new line and everything you can put on a page is one keystroke away.
Type / at the start of a line, or after a space, and a menu opens.
It won’t fire in the middle of a word, or inside a URL, or in “and/or” — so you
can write about https://example.com/page without a menu jumping out at you.
Two columns
Format does something to your text straight away: a heading, a list, a quote, bold, a divider.
Capture opens a small window to fill in: a passage of scripture, a prayer, a photo, one of the contemplative practices.
Filtering
Keep typing after the / and the list narrows. You don’t have to know the exact
name — /verse finds Scripture, /practice finds Ritual, /check finds
To-do.
Arrow keys to move, Return to choose, Esc to close.
On a phone or tablet
There’s no slash key convenient on a touch keyboard, so the same things sit in a row of buttons directly above it — scripture, prayer, sense, ritual, image, emoji, and an Aa button that swaps the row for formatting.
That bar is also where voice dictation and page scanning live.
